Service description 

The Central Client Authentication Agent (hereinafter: KAÜ) is a special case of the identity-checking agency service defined by statute, provided as a mandatory service by the Government. The Service performs authentication of public administrative entities and their natural person employees using the Service and the authentication of citizens to the various specialized systems, and - if the conditions defined by statute are met - the return of the requested ID to the specialized system that requested the authentication. The Service Provider organizes and provides on a common service interface those authentication services allowed by the statute or regulation (e.g. full authentication services (TASZ) that are available for the users of the services in a uniform, standard framework.

The fundamental service of KAÜ means that an authorized specialized system may request the authentication of a natural person and the data resulting from such authentication. In the enhanced level service of KAÜ (KAÜ+) an authorized specialized system, may request the identification of a natural person and another ID of that natural person or the encrypted version of their connection code.
