Aim(s) of the project

• Development of national standards (data structure, transaction).

• Support to the sharing of information generated earlier between institutions, with the authorization of the patient (e.g.: lab work, medical discharge report).

• Provision of support for resource management (e.g.: medical referrals, booking).

• Provision of support to processes of cooperation (e.g.: remote medical consulting, central pathology support).

• Establishment of e-recipe functionality.

Result(s) of the project

The data are transmitted by using a standard messaging and forwarding protocol. The messages are created in the form of standardised message types, and they comply with the requirements of public registries and public core databases.

The establishment of the capability of sending and receiving messages enables the implementation of higher-level services above infrastructure services. Within the framework of the project, in addition to communication of the results of the examination, remote medical consulting and resource allocation services are implemented.

The establishment of on-line data supply enables the central system to store in chronological order the health events into a so-called event catalogue.  The catalogue enables the serving of searches in earlier examination results and it is possible to create historical registration of health data. This solution also contains the development of the necessary data procedures for the prevention of unauthorised access.

In on-line data collection, as part of health events, pseudonymised data are created for forwarding to the registers.
